As a former educator I realize how important it was for me to support my students in their learning. As artists do we need this kind of support? I can remember my first “Art in the Park” experience in Dunedin, Florida. As I stood by my table and easels I wondered if anyone was going to buy my paintings. Imagine my surprise when people would stop and say positive things about my work! Those comments actually inspired and motivated me in my quest to be a better watercolor artist…… just as my positive comments may have inspired my students. So yes…even if you can’t buy an artist’s painting your words can mean the world to them.
